EcoFlow STREAM 5000 vs EcoFlow STREAM Ultra X
Technical comparison · All-in-one
Two storage units with a built-in inverter, both limited to 800 VA of grid feed-in, for people who already have solar panels and want to use in the evening what they produce by day. What decides it is how much solar each can take: the STREAM 5000 accepts a much larger array than the Ultra X (manufacturer-declared values).

The differences that matter
- Solar input, 5000 W vs 2000 W → beyond 2000 W of panels the Ultra X takes no more.
- Backup power, 2500 W vs 1200 W → in a power cut the Ultra X carries only part of the load the STREAM 5000 can feed at once.
- Mounting, floor vs wall → the first needs floor space, the second a wall that can hold 38.8 kg.
- Expansion, up to 15 kWh vs up to 23 kWh → the unit with the smaller base is the one that grows further.
Which one to choose
Choose EcoFlow STREAM 5000 if…
you have a large PV array to connect and want the house to keep several loads running at once during a power cut. You accept a 45.4 kg unit that stands on the floor and takes up room, and a lower expansion ceiling.
Choose EcoFlow STREAM Ultra X if…
you would rather hang the storage on a wall and keep the floor clear, and want it to fit into a smart home: the Ultra X supports Matter, can be controlled over the local network and keeps working in a reduced mode if the internet drops. You accept a smaller solar input and less backup power.
