The differences that matter
- 200 Ah (2.56 kWh) against 80 Ah → the same reserve takes one battery on one side and more than two on the other.
- 200 A against 80 A, charging and discharging (manufacturer's declared values) → the 200 Ah accepts higher charging currents; the 80 Ah caps them at 80 A.
- 22.5 kg against 10.4 kg → the smaller one is easier to lift and fit by hand.
- Cold-charge protection and IP67 only on the 200 Ah; the 80 Ah is IP65 and has no such protection → it matters if the compartment is not sheltered.
Which one to choose
Choose ECTIVE LC 200 Marine LT 12V if…
your 12 V system has to run for several days between charges and you have room for one large battery. 200 Ah is 2.56 kWh, more than two 80 Ah batteries together, and charge and discharge currents go up to 200 A. The trade-off is weight, 22.5 kg, and a case 48.5 cm wide; in return you get cold-charge protection and IP67.
Choose ECTIVE LC 80L 12V if…
the battery has to fit a tight compartment or be carried by hand: it weighs 10.4 kg and is 30.7 cm wide. 80 Ah is a modest reserve, the maximum current is 80 A, and there is no cold-charge protection, so think about that before fitting it where it can freeze.
