Energy Depot CENTURIO 10 vs RCT Power Storage DC 10.0 LAN

Technical comparison · Hybrid inverters

In brief

Two three-phase hybrid inverters of about 10 kW that do the same job. What decides it is backup power: the CENTURIO 10 declares full island mode, while the RCT offers backup with a brief interruption (EPS).

The differences that matter

  • Backup power: full island vs EPS with a brief interruption → in a blackout the first keeps the house supplied, the second drops out for an instant before resuming.
  • Operating temperature 5 to 40 °C vs −25 to 50 °C, IP20 vs IP42 → the first needs an indoor room that stays above 5 °C, the second tolerates a cold room.
  • Standby consumption 20 W vs 6 W → in theory, switched on all year, about 175 kWh vs about 53 kWh spent just waiting (manufacturer-declared values).
  • Maximum solar input 12,000 W vs 15,000 W → the RCT accepts a larger PV array.

Which one to choose

Choose Energy Depot CENTURIO 10 if…

You want backup power as a full island, not only with a brief interruption, with a battery from the DOMUS 2.5 range or others. The trade-off is where it goes: IP20 and an operating range of 5 to 40 °C mean an indoor room that stays above 5 °C, and a standby draw of 20 W.

Choose RCT Power Storage DC 10.0 LAN if…

Your equipment room is unheated, and you want a larger PV array and RCT Power Battery storage (3.8–11.5 kWh, in one tower or two). You give up full island mode: in a blackout there is a brief interruption before the supply resumes.
