BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS 10.2 vs RCT Power Battery 5.7
Technical comparison · High voltage
The BYD offers 10.24 kWh usable and grows to 38.4 kWh with expansion, the RCT 5.18 kWh; but before size comes the inverter: the RCT is meant for RCT Power Storage DC inverters, the BYD for sixteen brands. All figures are manufacturer-declared values.

The differences that matter
- 10.24 vs 5.18 kWh usable → the BYD has twice the energy and can reach 38.4 kWh with expansion; the RCT is an apartment-size unit.
- Inverters: sixteen brands vs RCT Power Storage DC → with any other inverter, only the BYD is an option (if your model is listed).
- Guaranteed capacity at end of warranty: 60 % vs 80 % → after ten years the RCT declares it keeps more capacity.
- IP55, -10 to 50 °C vs IP42, 5 to 40 °C → the BYD tolerates colder or more exposed rooms; the RCT needs an indoor room above 5 °C.
Which one to choose
Choose BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS 10.2 if…
your inverter is not an RCT and you want to add modules later. It works fully without internet, is controlled over the local network and remote updates can be disabled. The compromise is bulk: it is a column over 120 cm tall and weighs 167 kg.
Choose RCT Power Battery 5.7 if…
your inverter is an RCT Power Storage DC and space is tight: 78 kg and 34 × 34 × 83 cm. The compromise is the environment: IP42 and a 5 °C minimum call for an indoor room that does not freeze, and there is no local control.
