BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM 19.3 vs Huawei LUNA2000-14-S1
Technical comparison · High voltage
Two high-voltage LFP home batteries, 19.32 kWh usable against 13.8. What decides it is the inverter already on the roof, or about to be: the BYD pairs with sixteen brands, the Huawei only with its own SUN2000 and SUN5000. Values as declared by the manufacturers.

The differences that matter
- Inverter: sixteen brands on BYD's list versus only Huawei SUN2000 and SUN5000 → with the BYD you keep your inverter or change it later; with the Huawei, battery and inverter are chosen together.
- Warranty: 10 years or 59.77 MWh versus 5 years (28.84 MWh) → at one full cycle a day the BYD reaches its energy cap after about 8.5 years, inside the 10; the Huawei is covered for 5.
- Height: 192.7 cm versus 87 cm → the BYD needs a room with a high ceiling, the Huawei fits a low bay.
Which one to choose
Choose BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM 19.3 if…
you are adding storage to a system with a Kostal, Sungrow, Deye or another inverter from BYD's list and want to keep it. With the router off the house keeps running, and the battery is managed over the local network. In return you need a column 192.7 cm tall, rated IP55 and operating only from −10 °C upward.
Choose Huawei LUNA2000-14-S1 if…
the inverter is already a Huawei and the battery goes into a low bay of 87 cm, or into a room that drops below −10 °C in winter: the LUNA2000-14-S1 is rated IP66 and for operation down to −20 °C. You give up over 5 kWh of usable energy, any inverter from another brand and a 10-year warranty (here it is 5); without internet it runs in a reduced mode.
