Liontron LX Smart 12.8 V 150 Ah Arctic Untersitz is a lithium iron phosphate battery designed to replace the lead-acid battery under a camper van's seat. The electronics inside the case run two heating elements that use the charging current to keep the cells above zero: in an unheated compartment, in winter, charging doesn't stop. Several units go in parallel to grow in capacity; in series, to raise voltage, they don't.
The continuous current it allows through covers the onboard inverter with the fridge running at the same time. State of charge, voltage and current are read from the phone over Bluetooth, and the same app follows several batteries together for anyone installing more than one.
It's for anyone replacing the service battery under a camper van or caravan seat with one that offers more autonomy, who also wants to charge it in winter. Anyone looking for a module for a fixed technical compartment should look at another format.

Which documents this page rests on
A manual or a datasheet counts as a source even when the original file is hosted elsewhere: what matters is the document, not the server. Where that happens, it is stated above.
What it really costs
- the manufacturer does not state the guaranteed total energy throughput, which for heavy users is often the limit that runs out first
How we worked it out
- stated cycles
- 3000
- warranty years
- 3650
These numbers are calculated, not stated: they have no source to cite, they have a formula you can redo. The price used is the manufacturer's list price, which is stable and the same in every country — not a shop's price on the day.
Pros and cons
In favour
- It heats itself using the charging current: in an unheated compartment, in winter, charging doesn't stop.
- State of charge, voltage and current are read from the phone, even across several batteries in parallel.
- The continuous current covers the onboard inverter with the fridge running at the same time.
- It replaces an AGM or GEL lead-acid battery without changing the charging and discharging setup, and it fits under the seat. source
Worth knowing
- It withstands dust and splashes, not immersion: the compartment has to stay sheltered.
- It works only at twelve volts: series connection isn't possible, so a twenty-four-volt system needs a different product. source
- Charging it at the maximum the electronics accept shortens its life: the recommended current is half that, and it needs a suitable charger.
